Diocesan Commission for the Pastoral Care of the Laity
COMMISSION FOR THE PASTORAL MINISTRY OF THE LAITY
Diocesan Coordinator: Lic. José Julio Aranda Manzanero
Executive Secretary: Luisa Margarita Silva Marín
Mission: To create opportunities for Movements, Apostolates, Lay Associations, and civil organizations affiliated with the Catholic Church to come together and, based on the priorities arising from our ecclesial and social realities, propose and agree upon effective strategies according to their respective charisms. These efforts seek to provide members with integral formation, especially in the Church’s Social Doctrine, making charity their hallmark in order to reach those who are distant from the Church and become voices of influence within their respective communities.
Vision: To be a Dimension that fosters greater awareness, mutual recognition, and collaboration among the various Movements, Apostolates, and affiliated civil organizations, as well as with priests, religious women, seminarians, and parishes, within an environment of synodality and charity, supporting one another and fostering positive collaboration. To be a Commission that promotes integral formation and initiatives that are primarily missionary, focused on the common good, and capable of making a positive social impact, embracing the objectives of the Global Pastoral Project and the Diocesan Pastoral Plan of our local Church.
Objective: To ensure that Movements and Apostolates embody a charitable and merciful presence, in accordance with the teachings of the Church’s Social Doctrine and the Diocesan Pastoral Plan, while fostering fraternity, solidarity, and meaningful collaboration among them.
