Lord Jesus, I offer you my tithe, as my recognition, love and gratitude, for I know well that everything I have is a gift from you.

Thank you, Lord! Amen.

How much to tithe

  • For those who earn a minimum wage or less per month:

You can tithe according to your means and with free generosity, offering what you can and wish to give (It is suggested to use the envelope).

  • For those who earn more than one minimum wage per month:

You may offer as a tithe the equivalent of one day's salary, in gratitude and commitment to the Church (It is suggested to use the envelope).

  • For a person with a business, trade or company:

The tithe is calculated between 5% and 10% of the net earnings of the year, according to your ability and the generous desire of your heart.

Importance of tithing

  • This contribution is support for the Diocese, not for the parish.

  • It allows the training of seminarians and future priests.

  • Help to maintain temples and chapels.

  • It allows us to provide aid to the missions and communities most in need.

  • It supports pastoral care, catechesis, and evangelization.

  • Charitable works are carried out for the poor and sick.
